Getting Ready for the New Year
The end of another year is a time of reflection and review. Did you make any big changes in your life? Did you achieve any goals you set at the start of year?
A lot of us make these pledges to committing to making a change in our lives. Getting fit, losing weight and managing your finances better are all good goals, but they’re hardly worthy of a year long goal. These changes can be achieved in smaller timescales of 1 to 2 months.
This year aim for something bigger and aim for a single goal that will change you as a person. Starting a new business, completing an extreme physical challenge or raising awareness and funds for a charity organisation are all worthy causes for a year long goal.
So how are you going to achieve your goals for the New Year?
Well before you answer that, let’s complete a small exercise for next week. What I want you to do is to think about a single goal that you want to achieve in the next year.
Here’s your exercise for the week ahead: Mind map a single goal that you want to achieve in the next year.
Next week we’re going to look at how you can plan your goals for the new year and how your going to continually review your goal throughout the year.
Don’t think this is just a reader exercise. I’ll be doing this alongside with you. So what are you waiting for? Get mind mapping some ideas for goals in the new year!
Happy mind mapping!
